Former Nickelodeon producer, Dan Schneider, responds to abuse allegations featured in the documentary “Quiet on Set”.

The former Nickelodeon producer said he owes a “sincere apology” after being accused of exhibiting sexist and racist behavior in the workplace. He made the statement on his YouTube channel, DanWarp.
BooG!E, the actor who portrayed T-Bo in “iCarly,” is the one listening to and conducting the interview with Schneider. He told BooG!E that it has been “difficult” to watch the testimonies from the documentary.
“I wish I could go back in time, especially to those early years of my career, and bring the growth and experience I have now and simply do a better job and never, ever feel that it was okay to be a jerk to someone, never,” Schneider recounted.
The former producer, who is 58 years old, said he felt terrible seeing “the pain in people’s eyes.” He asked for offensive jokes to be cut from the series.
He worked as a producer on shows like “The Amanda Show,” “Drake & Josh,” “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” “Victorious,” and “Sam & Cat.” One of the testimonies called him a “psychological tormentor,” according to Page Six.
Amy Berg, a former Nickelodeon writer, said Schneider caused her to develop heart arrhythmia and panic attacks. She claims she underwent surgery to correct the problem. “He stole 20 years from me,” she lamented.
“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” premiered on Investigation Discovery on March 17 and has four episodes available on streaming platforms like Max, Prime Video, Apple TV, and The Roku Channel.
